Miner addition enhances reports

Aegis Industrial Software Corporation, has launched Version 7 evolution of its proven NPI and MES software system. The upcoming Version 7 software release has a number of new features to improve both the functionality and the useability of the interface.
However, the main development is ‘Data Miner’ – a tool to solve the data analysis and fulfillment demands of manufacturers. Previously the format of data output was either down to the customer or came in preconfigured reports. Data Miner changes this by providing an easy and immediate method of analysing and investigating data.
Data Miner provides manufacturers with a software environment, for use by individual engineers or in collaborative environments during meetings, to enable users to drill into any data set without any knowledge of the database or even how to write SQL. The environment allows engineers to navigate through the entire body of product, process and materials information flowing through from the factory, identify areas of interest and quickly create graphical or tabular reports of the information so that decisions on further action can be assessed and taken.
Results are customised and organised by the user and are displayed in grids, pivot tables, charts, and/or reports to reveal product WIP, quality, test, labour, assembly, material, equipment and performance data detail. Essentially, Data Miner is providing easy nad quick access to all the information found in the Aegis FUSION MES system. Additionally it may be used for harvesting, organising and analysing data from other systems used int eh enterprise, providing a single environment for performing data analysis and reporting.
Data Miner and Version 7 were previewed by Aegis at APEX in February, and will be on show at Nepcon UK.
