CASE STUDY - Scorpion probes ACI
10 January 2011
ACI Technologies has placed a Flying Scorpion flying probe system in its Philadelphia facility.

Mike Prestoy, Senior Applications Engineer at ACI Technologies, accepted delivery of a double-sided flying probe system from Acculogic in December 2010. The Scorpion Model 810D is equipped with 16 movable probes; eight top and eight bottom.
The system offers several unique and patented features, such as programmable probe angles of +6° to -6°, up to 24 probes total, Advanced Boundary Scan integration, and largest board size 41 x 25.6".
The system is being used in ACI’s 10,000 sq ft demonstration factory containing the latest electronics manufacturing, test and inspection equipment. Two seminars already have been held, focused on Limited Access test and Reverse Engineering using the Scorpion Flying Probe. Several more are in the planning stages for the coming months.
