Hansatech EMS Limited has maintained its focus on managing design for manufacture, test strategy, new product introduction, project management and manufacturing services for OEM companies based in the UK or overseas since those heady days in 1984, and now celebrates 25 Years in UK contract manufacturing.

“We thank all our loyal staff and customers for our success and longevity as a home grown contract manufacturer,” said Paul Gill, Managing Director of Hansatech EMS. “In our 25th year, we are proud to be recognised for our technical expertise and customer service. This is proof of our commitment to high level staff training, test development, quality management and industry accreditations. This will be an exciting year for Hansatech EMS as it ramps up investment in lean manufacturing to gain efficiencies, lower costs, and improve processes across its operations. It has an experienced management team including Paul Gill, Stephen Blythe, Commercial Director, Chris Smith, Finance Director and Rex Waygood, Technical Manager. Rex has been with the company since it was first established and his experience in developing manufacturing solutions is an invaluable resource for the business.” In recognition of their contributions, Waygood and four other staff members were recently presented with Long Service Award certificates.

Furthermore, the 80-strong team’s assiduous approach has been recognised as the company has been awarded the AS9100 quality accreditation for the design and manufacture of safety critical flight systems for the aerospace industry.

Gill added: “Having the internationally recognised AS9100 accreditation for our Poole site demonstrates our commitment to the continuous improvement of every function of our organisation over the past 25 years and into the future. It is evidence that we understand the needs of our customers and the market, and that our staff are dedicated to quality management compliance. Most importantly, it places us in a strong, stable position to support the manufacture of electronic systems fundamental to civil and military aircraft system safety in the aerospace sector.”

The AS9100 is a globally adopted standard that incorporates the ISO9001 quality management system and additional requirements specified by the aerospace industry. The accreditation sits alongside Hansatech EMS’ portfolio of standards including ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 and BS13485.
