Productronica gets underway
09 November 2007
There is no point in denying it, as you read this I am in Munich along with most of the industry’s suppliers for Productronica, ready to enjoy the rarefied atmosphere of 12 packed exhibition halls for the rest of the week.

As I have said in this column before, this huge event in the global calendar is only huge if you are here. If you are not then you will probably be pleading for the media to stop bombarding you with reasons to be there, suppliers inundating you with invitations to visit their stands (or booths if you are American)… all endless reminders that everyone else is there and you are not.
But hopefully, even if you are not able to be there this week, you will have been given a flavour of the technology on show through these pages over the past few weeks. No doubt I will return with plenty more to talk about. Even when dealing with such a mature process as the surface mount one is, there is always something out there that is surprising. Hopefully I can find a few things of this nature this week and tell you about them next week.
And then, when I have done, I promise I will stop talking about exhibitions! Well until the next one, anyway.
