DJK will introduce a new solder inspection machine at upcoming Productronia.
In 2001 DJK bought Hitachi Mobile phone’s factory, which made solder paste inspection machines specifically for Hitachi. Since the transfer to DJK, the factory has been able to build a range of Inspection machines with strong focus on solder paste inspection.
For the past six years DJK has held a market leading position, with a product range including 2D inspection, 2/3 D (BPC ADX), and is about to introduce its latest solder paste inspection machine, BPC-Super 330SE.
DJK will launch this, alongside its other new machine BPC 168DT-AOI, at Productronica. Key features of the BPC Super 330SE include speed in 3D imaging, process speed, easy operating modes, touch panels, and efficient judgements of solder pad. A monitor is also included, leading to easier operational functions. The machine has capability to make data 100% from a real board, and can detect when cleaning of the stencil mask is needed, with a judgement panel showing a histogram of each of the boards inspected.
BPC Super 330SE I able to measure 2D, areas of base, height and accordingly calculates the volume of solder pad using 2D and 3D principles, checking for faults of misalignment bridge, and excess. The machine offers both 2D inspection 4810mm² and 3D 3928mm² per second. The speed owes much to the updated software, and the use of a single Telecentric camera, which takes optical images of both sides of the solder pad paste. With a perpendicular irradiation of slit light, this precise method takes the measurement of both sides, gaining accurate measurement of both sides of the solder pad.
The 3D measurement operation reads from left to right, and using a cam link with data compression software, compresses the image thereby allowing the data to be transmitted back to PC imaging with a high speed communication.
The BPC Super 330SE has capability for allowance of curvature on the Printed Circuit Boards, and the camera moves ni correspondence to the curve of the board.
